Mental Health Care Specialties

Our therapists provide mental health care to folks experiencing many struggles including anxiety, depression, self harm, grief and loss, substance use, low self esteem and traumatic experiences. However, we do have four particular mental health care specialties in-house as well.

Refugee and Immigrant Individuals and Families

The origination of our agency was specific to filling in the gaps in services to folks with lived refugee experience. We provide interpretation services as needed, flexible scheduling options and the opportunity to work with a therapist exactly where each person or family is. We have advanced skills in providing culturally and linguistically appropriate care to every person who comes into our office. We ensure confidentiality in all interactions and provide mental health care in whatever language you request.

2

LGBTQIA+ Folks

Our clinicians are specially trained in and some bring lived experience of the needs, strengths and struggles of the diverse community that is encompassed in the LGBTQIA+ community. We work with gender diverse and transgender individuals of all ages to support identity work and gender affirming care. We provide couples and family therapy to diverse family groups.

3

Sexual Assault and Child Sexual Abuse Survivors

Many of our therapists are highly trained in trauma, including the specific work of supporting healing in survivors of child sexual abuse and sexual assault. We work with children, adolescents and adults of all ages and genders who have experienced sexual violence.

4

Cultural, Racial and Intergenerational Trauma

As an agency, we are committed to working with all folks to address established and ongoing traumas of all kinds. We have clinicians specially trained in trauma care. We aim to support white folks in creating and enacting a process for guilt and grief linked to cultural trauma. We also support folks of the Global Majority in building a process for their experiences of and exposure to intergenerational and present cultural, racial and religious trauma and violence.
